I don't care what "EU project evaluator" says. Somehow, after almost 30
years in the academia I am not buying easily arguments like "this paper must
be very good because was accepted for a conference". Or "evaluated by UE
evaluator". I am in industry, and I know what is needed. Guarantee, that
this what is needed is NOT occam, Kroc and such.

This what is needed, is methodology for multicore processor programming
using mainstream programming languages. And you should know what is
"mainstream programming language(s)" that industry is using.

I agree that from methodological standpoint many "clever things around" are
20+ years old. But to be used today, they must be repackaged. 

Working on occam, is, sorry, "computer archeology".

Well just recently in my capacity as an EU project evaluator and reviewer I
have seen a lot of stuff that is trying to reinvent the past all over again.

OK - there is some clever stuff around, but an awful lot of it is
fundamentally the same ground we went over 20+ years ago.

Interesting. But... Occam, transputer, Kroc, all ARE THINGS OF THE PAST. Why
you are playing with dead bodies instead of using your talent and knowledge
to address problems that are current?

Geraint Jones has made an updated version available for free online:

The KRoC and Transterpreter implementations of occam-pi are open-source
and available for a variety of operating systems. KRoC is included with
some Linux distributions, but it's under active development, so you're
probably better off downloading the latest version from us:
  http://projects.cs.kent.ac.uk/projects/kroc/

The examples from the book will work directly in KRoC provided you wrap
them in an appropriate top-level process (e.g. "PROC main (CHAN BYTE
out)") -- but the extra facilities available in occam-pi over occam 2
can be used to simplify a lot of the code.
