This editor supports folding not unlike that found in the occam tools of old. It seems as if JEdit's authors have an Emacs background: some of the terminology is similar to that of Emacs. Unlike the occam folding editors, it does not use marks, but merely uses the indentation depth to limit the fold. It's quite a good editor for other reasons too.
