CSP for Java Programmers
Note: I previously posted this message to the occam-com mailing list. Peter has
asked me to repost it here. I apologize to anyone subscribed to both lists for
subjecting them to this duplication of messages.

I just came across an interesting (and fairly recent) 3-part article on IBM's
developerWorks site that provides an introduction to CSP and JCSP
[http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/java/library/j-csp1.html]. The author,
Abhijit Belapurkar, does a good job of making the case for CSP and JCSP,
presenting the basic JCSP constructs, and showing how they can be used. It
might be a good place to point Java programmers who need a quick understanding
of the what and why of JCSP (and how it contrasts with the new
java.util.concurrent).
I gather from the footnotes that Peter had a hand in reviewing the article. But
I haven't seem any mention of the article on this mailing list, so I thought
I'd bring it to everyone's attention.
It's nice to see JCSP getting this kind of exposure.
